Costa Palmas through Jason Grosfeld and his company Irongate has been engufed in numerous lawsuits with very serious allegations. The Costa Palmas Mexico project has been painted as paradise but the lawsuits state otherwise:
One of the lawsuits complaint alleges Actual Fraud, Promissory Fraud, Constructive Fraud, Common Law Extortion, Attempted Extortion by Threatening Letter, Tortuous Interference with Contract, Breach of Contract, and Breach of the Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing, All arising out of a scheme by Defendants to wrongfully and unlawfully obtain money, assets and property based on false representations, extortion, interference with plaintiffs contracts, and unfair business practices.
